Kahraman, Serdar
EUROSPINE Membership Council

Prof. Serdar Kahraman graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 1989. He served as an academic person for 20 years at Gülhane Military Medical School. After resignation, he became a professor and head of department at Istanbul Yeni Yüzy?l University in 2010. Currently, he works as a head of department in a foundation hospital with many high-level facilities which is accredited by Johns Hopkins University. He is a chair of neuro-oncological board of the hospital.

He was the Past President of the Turkish Spine Society as the first neurosurgeon and AO Spine Neuro Education officer in Turkey. He is involved with many international societies as chair, invited lecturer and instructor. His national and international publications, book chapters are more than a hundred in different journals with high impact. His spinal interests are highly complex degenerative, tumour and trauma. He likes to contribute to spinal surgeon's training around the world. Thus, Prof. Kahraman engages in EUROSPINE because it is a worldwide, high-level spine society that provides spine education. Now, he is one of chairperson of EUROSPINE Advanced Modules as a prestigious educational activity.

He serves as the Executive Committee Member of EUROSPINE and chair of the Membership Committee.
