Alanay, Ahmet

Dr. Ahmet Alanay is an internationally well-recognized surgeon with over 20 years of experience in the field of pediatric and adult spinal disorders and diseases.

He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine in 1988 and completed his residency in 1996 at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. He completed his Fellowship on spinal deformity in the University of Kansas Medical Center School of Medicine. He did his Sabbatical in the UCLA School of Medicine. He received his Associate Professor degree in 2002 and full Professorship in 2007.

Since 2012, Dr. Alanay is working at Acibadem Healthcare Group where he established the Comprehensive Spine Center at Acibadem Maslak Hospital. Additionally, he is a faculty member of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Acibadem Mehmet Ali Ayd?nlar University School of Medicine.

Dr. Alanay serves as board member and committee chair of many prestigious spinal societies and he is also associated with many international study groups. He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications in high-ranking international journals along with numerous national and international presentations at scientific meetings and won various awards throughout his career.
