Speaker Guidelines

Thank you for being part of the EUROSPINE Annual Meeting 2022 in Milan.
Here is the most relevant information for your successful presentation:

PREPARE your presentation

  • Make your slides as simple as possible - try to present only one idea per slide. Sometimes, one powerful sentence, a number, or even one word, can say more than a slide full of bullet points.
  • If possible, avoid using animations
  • You should not use any patient names on your slides
  • Limit the number of slides to one per minute
  • Presentation format is 16:9 widescreen, Power Point format only “.pptx, .ppt or .pps”
  • Use a standard font like Calibri, Arial, Verdana or Times New Roman
  • If you embed videos, please make sure to use "mpeg1", "mpeg2", "wmv" or "avi" format
  • Make sure to disclose any conflict of interests with the second slide of your presentation

UPLOAD your presentation

There are two options to upload your presentation before your talk:

1. Recommended: Upload your presentation with the personalized link that you will receive separately by email from our technical partner ESTENSIS.
(sent by named “EUROSPINE 2022” and subject “EUROSPINE 2022 – presentation upload”)

2. On-Site: Upload your presentation at least two hours before your talk on-site at the speakers´ preview center. Our staff will assist you with any questions regarding your presentation. The opening times of the speakers´ preview center are:

Tuesday, 18 October09:00 - 17:30
Wednesday, 19 October07:00 - 17:00
Thursday, 20 October07:30 - 17:00
Friday, 21 October08:15 - 14:00

On-Site appearance

  • Please check the timing of your talk by downloading the EUROSPINE App or checking the programme online: mobile.eurospine.app
  • Be on time before the session starts
  • Use of own notebook and presentation equipment is not allowed
  • Introduce yourself to moderators and the room assistant for pronunciation of your name/institution
  • Walk on stage à become familiar with the presentation system, microphones/pointing device
  • When the talk of the previous presenter has finished, stand up and approach the stage sideways
  • Speak directly into the microphone in a normal voice
  • Using the mouse as a pointer will prevent you from turning your head away from the audience
  • After your talk, go to the chairs table for questions and answers
