Federico Solla (MD) is currently a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Lenval University Children’s Hospital of Nice, France. His primary interest is in pediatric scoliosis surgery.He earned his medical degree and certificate of training in paediatric surgery from the medical school of Cagliari, Italy; he completed his training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery, spine surgery, and microsurgery at University “Claude Bernard” of Lyon, France.He also competed a clinical fellowship in paediatric orthopaedics at "Mother and Child Hospital" of Lyon at a second fellowship in spine neurosurgery at "P. Wertheimer Neurological Hospital" of Lyon.He has been involved in teaching since he was a clinical lecturer at the University of Lyon (2009-2012), was later a faculty member at the European Association of Neurosurgery Societies (2011-2015), and is currently an honorary lecturer at the Medical School of Nice and the School of Physiotherapy of Nice. He has published about 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals about scoliosis, spine surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, comorbidities in cerebral palsy, animal models, statistics, and mass casualty incidents, and 4 book chapters about sagittal balance.He is an associate member of Eurospine since 2018 and full member since 2019; he is a member of the French Society of Orthopaedic Surgery (SoFCOT), the French Scoliosis Study Group (GES), and the French Spine Society (SFCR).Moreover, he is also a fellow of the French Academy of Orthopaedics-Traumatology and of the French College of Orthopaedic Surgery (FFCOS).
