Scholz, Matti

Dr. Matti Scholz was born in Berlin, Germany, on January 18, 1975. He is married with Elke und father of 3 children. He studied medicine from 1996 until 2002 at the Humboldt University in Berlin and finished his doctoral thesis with the title “„Effect of cage design on interbody fusion. Radiological evaluation.“ in 2005. He was trained as a general and orthopaedic/trauma surgeon at the Charité – University Medicine Berlin from 2002 – 2007.

From January 2008 until September 2021 he was employed at the Center for Spinal Surgery and Neurotraumatology, BG-Hospital Frankfurt.

Since October 2021 he is head of the Department for Spinal Surgery at ATOS Klink Braunfels.

He is EUROSPINE Member, member of the German Spine Society and member of the German Orthopaedic and Trauma Society and the current Chairman of the German AOSpine Council.
