Mawhinney, Gerard

Gerard is a Consultant Nurse in Spinal Surgery at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, England. His research interests centre around complex surgical oncology / spinal sarcoma, personalised surgical care, informed consent, patient experience, and digital health technologies.

Gerard is a member of the Faculty of Perioperative Care at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Research & Innovation Lead for the UK & Ireland at the Association of Surgical Care Practitioners, He will begin a DPhil / PhD in Clinical Neurosciences at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford later this year.
