Depreitere, Bart

Prof. Depreitere is a Staff Neurosurgeon at the University Hospitals Leuven (since 2006). He graduated from KULeuven Medical School in 1997, completed neurosurgical training in Leuven and was board-certified in 2004. He received a PhD in Medical Sciences at KULeuven in 2004. He did a fellowship in spine surgery and paediatric neurosurgery in Toronto in 2005-2006. His main interests are spine tumour surgery, improving quality and reducing practice variation by developing and implementing guidelines and multidisciplinary care pathways and cost-utility analyses in spine care. He engages in EUROSPINE because it is a strong multi-disciplinary society and its mission is to improve the quality in spine care through education and registration of outcomes.
