What is the MedTech Europe Code?

Important updates about the Code of Ethics
A code for more transparency, effective 1st January 2018

The MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice regulates all aspects of the industry’s relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Healthcare Organisations (HCOs).
One important change introduced by the Code as of 1st January 2018 is discontinuation of direct sponsorship of HCPs. As of that date, independent medical education have to be supported exclusively by means of Educational Grants. Such Educational Grants can be provided to HCOs and PCOs.

Mondial Congress & Events is officially recognized by MedTech Europe as a compliant, trusted PCO to rely on in the process of organizing medical educational events.

What does this mean for the support of EUROSPINE 2022?

MedTech Educational Participation Grants aim of providing all people from Europe and beyond the opportunity to attend this meeting, regardless of their individual economic situation.
As a trusted partner, Mondial Congress & Events will take on the responsibility for indirect participant sponsorship at EUROSPINE 2022. The industry will entrust Mondial Congress & Events and provide educational grants directly, and the EUROSPINE organizing committee will be responsible for participants (HCPs) pre-selection.
Recipients (HCPs) will need to fulfil specified criteria to be eligible to apply for an educational participation grant. Accepted grant recipients will be contacted by the Mondial Secretariat.
Supporters will be acknowledged in the sponsors & exhibitors section of the website and final programme. There is no limit to the amount of Travel Grants that companies can provide. Contribution for industry-supported travel grants: € 1,600 per participant (€ 830 for registration fee, € 770 for accommodation and travel expenses).
Educational Participation Grants of any amount are appreciated and important to the success of EUROSPINE 2022.

Confirmed support for medical education
Through this Code, members of MedTech Europe promote legitimate and ethical business practices, encouraging responsible and ethical interactions with HCPs and HCOs in the benefit of the patient.

Don’t wait any longer to fulfil your educational needs and start supporting medical education at EUROSPINE 2022!
