Chairperson Guidelines

Thank you for chairing this session!
Here is the most relevant information for a successful session:

  • Check your chair assignments hereAchtung Link öffnet sich in einem neuen Fenster.
  • Check & download the EUROSPINE App to have the latest programme and all abstracts at your hand:

1 - Introducing the session and the presenters
  • Start the session on time. Introduce your co-chair and yourself.
  • Announce each presentation and speaker.

2 - Include the virtual audience
  • EUROSPINE is a hybrid congress – please welcome the virtual audience: "Welcome to everyone at home! We are happy that you tuned in".

3 - Make sure that all speakers keep to their speaking & discussion time
  • There will be a time keeper to help you with this task.

4 - Moderate the discussion and include questions from the audience (via App or in-person)
  • Q&A via the App works for every session - your room attendant will brief you onsite and will assist you.

5 - Closing the session
  • Please announce the upcoming scientific & industry sessions.

New structure for oral sessions: the majority of the oral sessions close with a keynote lecture. Make sure to announce the keynote speaker in your introduction.

We have a new stage design – please encourage

  • the speaker to present without using the lectern – this will bring the speaker closer to the audience and will make the presentation more engaging.
  • the speaker after his presentation to join you at the chair standing table for the Q&A and discussion – this will help to foster the discussion.
