13–15 October, Gothenburg, Sweden

Welcome words by Anneli Rhedin – Lord Mayor of Gothenburg

We want to welcome you all to the EUROSPINE Annual Meeting in Gothenburg, 13–15 October 2021!

The tradition and history of medical development and practice in our city have been forming over the duration of more than 100 years. These advances have been achieved by close collaborations between the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital, one of the largest university hospitals in Europe. For the EUROSPINE annual meeting we will be welcoming you at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, and its inhouse hotel Gothia Towers is a multifunctional all-inclusive venue located in the city centre. Additional hotels, restaurants, cafés, parks, culture and shops are conveniently located within walking distance.

Apart from science and patient care, the city of Gothenburg offers many opportunities for recreation in nature, whether it’s on the land or the sea - including the beautiful archipelago. The city also harbours a number of cultural offerings such as museums, opera house and concert hall. Everyone can find restaurants pleasing their taste, including local seafood traditions but also restaurants formed by diverse cultural influences during many decades.

This will be a meeting filled with science, innovation, interesting debates and much much more.

We can't wait to welcome you to EUROSPINE 2021 in Gothenburg, Sweden!
