This half-day session will form a comprehensive course on the management of cervical traumatic injuries, including classification, imaging evaluation, non-operative and surgical treatment. An international, well-respected faculty of experts will provide the contents.

Target Audience:
The course is designed to meet the needs of all the spectrum of the spine specialists. Surgical residents and young specialists will have the chance to improve their knowledge in the field with structured sessions including case-shows and imaging. The more experienced spine surgeons will have the chance to update their knowledge. Non-surgical specialists and in-training colleagues will acquire a comprehensive overview of the main directions and standards of treatment of these conditions.

Aim:
At the end of the course, participants will be able to
  • describe the rationale of cervical spine injuries classifications
  • interpret the key imaging clues to guide appropriate classification
  • describe the risks associated to specific lesions and their treatment
  • identify the modalities of treatment recommended for specific lesion patterns
